What is the best American micro brew beer? I guess it doesn't have to be micro brew. What is the best/your favorite beer that an American company or person has made and is readily available?

How long is a micro-brew untapped keg good for? Need a beer pro for this one? Well guys I walk into Safeway and pick up a keg for the game this weekend to hook up to my kegerator. The beer is a speciality micro brew produced locally in my home state and I notice the sucker is 5 months old... I called Safeway and they said the beer is fine even though its 5 months old but I taste a little of that familiar skunk taste. What do the pros have to say on a keg thats 5 months old stored in a cold room at Safeway (keep in mind its a micro brew not a pasteurized beer like bud)

A lot of this has to be the beer right? I like a lot of the micro brew beers, but a lot of them just taste terrible and I hear people saying that their great. Best obscure micro brew? A beer that is not widely available or is not on almost every bars menu - No Sam Adams - that is too publically commercial. I like Kalik (bahamian beer) and any brew that DuCLaws home brews and sells (Baltimore Restaurant)
Why are so many people so stupid when it comes to beer? I've come to find that so many people are pretty stupid when it comes to beer. It's kind of driving me crazy. You got the people who like MGD/Budweiser and anything with the consistency of water and zero flavor. Then you got the people who like only imported beer (regardless of good or bad) and diss American beers. These same people assume any beer American is a crappy beer and have never heard of such micro-breweries such as Dogfishhead, Anchor Steam, Bell's, or many others. Then you've got you're level-headed people such as myself who think that any good tasting beer, regardless of the country it was produced in, is good. Don't get me wrong, there's a place and a time even for cheaper beer. Sometimes cheap beer is more cost-efficient when having a party. I love imported beers too. My favorite beers in the world are from Belgium. But to say that imported beers are far superior to American beers when they've never tried a micro-brew drives me nuts. Do you know what I mean? I'm not saying somebody is stupid for having a different taste in beer. I'm saying some people are ignorant.

what do they put in American beers, like Bud and Coors, that makes you thirsty after drinking one? Micro brewed beers are different and do not make you thirsty after drinking one. Is it the perservative chemicals or is it done on purpose to make you drink more?

Does Utah know that hoppy beer calm people down? Most micro brews are 4.5 up which most contain more hops. Is there limits on how much caffeine is in coffee in Utah? If I feed my friends a light beer they act stupid and immature but if I talk them into a micro brew which has more alcohol they have a happy passive attitude.

Where online can I find a GOOD beer basket to send my husband for valentine's day? I am not going to get to see my husband for our first Valentine's Day as a married couple. He is not expecting to receive anything but I would like to surprise him with a beer basket. I was thinking maybe a beer, chocolate combo but I can't seem to find a good one. Many of the site don't tell you what kind of beer they are sending. I am currently working in Eugene, OR and would like to send him some of the local micro brews, but I am not sure that I will have the time to put a basket together on my own.
